The Tr?nh–Nguy?n War lasted from 1627 until finally 1672. The Tr?nh army staged no less than seven offensives, all of which didn't capture Phú Xuân. For just a time, commencing in 1651, the Nguy?n them selves went around the offensive and attacked portions of Tr?nh territory.
